Zdenka is one of the oldest national trademarks in the area of cheese production and it is specially known for its melted and semi-hard cheese. Nowadays Zdenka employs 400 people and it is one of the most significant economic elements in the Bjelovarsko-Bilogorska County. The company is mostly state-owned.

The foundation of Zdenka's survival and development is its raw-material basis. Therefore Zdenka has a quality relationship with milk producers in the municipality of Ðulovac. Zdenka buys milk in 15 villages of the municipality (Vukovje, Batinjani, Katinac, Puklica, Gornje Cjepidlake, Velika Maslenjaèa, Borova Kosa, Mali and Veliki Bastaji, Mali and Veliki Miletinac, Korenièani, Potoèani, Ðulovac and Removac). 18 milk producers regularly sell about 100.00 litres of milk every month. Apart from regular milk payment in the shortest possible period (before the 12th of the month) Zdenka gives a factory bonus of 100.00 kuna per month to its producing partners. The quality of milk, which is above the average (more than 30% of the milk is extra category), shows to prove the high level of economic partnership between Zdenka and its milk producers.

The largest milk producers selling to Zdenka are Željko Žarkoviæ, Vesna Matijeviæ, Vinko Vondra, Željko Èitkoviæ and Franjo Geler from Veliki Miletinac and Damir Trsek from Korenièani. Zdenka pays special attention to prospective young people in developing and increasing their milk production. At the moment Zdenka's hopes are Anðelka Valeèiæ and Vinko Jakopec from Velika Maslenjaèa, Verica Car from Borova Kosa and Zoran Posavec from Veliki MIletinac.

Zdenka expects to further its cooperation with its partners (purchasing new heifers, lactofreezers, offering privileged prices for fodder) and to bring their successful cooperation to a higher level.
