The task of the Croatian Water Authority is permanent and unobstructed providing of public services and other works involving water management within the boundaries and in accordance with the means proscribed by the law and other legal regulations.
Works conducted by the Croatian Water Authority include:
1.Planning basic water-management, water-management of basins and water-management administration;
2.Designing project tasks, conceptual solutions, studies, investment plans and design studies auditing;
3.Water basin planning and protection against harmful water impact - monitoring water levels and controlling the quality of water, organising flood and ice protection plans, erosion and flood control; building, technical and economic basin and water structure maintenance planning;
4.Managing hydroamelioration systems for drainage and irrigation - organizing their construction, technical and economic maintenance and their alloted usage;
5.Water-management - monitoring water supplies, coordinating water-management plans of other corporations and controlling their realisation, taking other measures to ensure rational water usage;
6.water protection - monitoring and controlling water quality, organising and implementing the National Water Protection Plan, coordinating local governments' water protection plans with other corporations' water protection investment plans, controlling their realisation, taking steps to ensure pollution prevention and polluted waters improvement;
7.Managing national water reserves;
8.Keeping water records and managing a unified water information system;
9.Professional help regarding water concession allotment;
10.Professional supervision on water concession conditions (water supervision);
11.Investment works for executing plans of water-management;
12.Professional supervision of water construction works;
13.Planning and gathering funds to finance projects of water-management in accordance with a special law; and
14.Other works alloted by law and Croatian Water Authority Statute.
Water-management Branch Office for the Ilova-Pakra Basin Daruvar covers the water basins of the Ilova and Pakra rivers. It employs 9 people, has its headquarters in Daruvar and covers the area of the municipality of Ðulovac in full.
