Daruvar vine-growing hills and the wine-growing sub region of Slavonia are well known for their production of grapes and wine. It is spread on the gentle slopes of the mountains of Bilogora, Papuk and Psunj, 150 to 240 m above the sea level.

Here, on more than 160 hectares in Donji Daruvar and Ðulovac Badel 1862 -Daruvar Winery with its 37 employees grows the varieties of vine recommended for this area. The most common variety is white grasevina, then chardonnay, Rhine riesling and sauvignon blanc. The high level of technical equipment combined with professional staff, result in a rational and adequate technology of grape production, which by its quality, provides a very good raw material for the production of high-quality wines. Micro-climate conditions, in Ðulovac especially, are favourable for extraordinary qualities of wines produced in Badel 1862 - Daruvar Winery.

Badel 1862 is the largest producer of wines and spirits in Croatia. For three centuries top experts and associates of this companies have enriched the Croatian and European market with top quality products. the key to its success is the mixture of tradition and modern technology, alongside with market research and a vision of the future.

Daruvar vine-growing hills are a traditional vine-growing region in the continental Croatia. Today, Daruvar Winery is one of the best, state-of the-art wineries in Croatia. Apart from the vineyards, the winery owns a state-of-the-art vine cellar and a bottling plant.

Each variety yields quality and high-quality wine. Daruvar Winery Grasevina is one of the best known and most noble Grasevina wines in Croatia. It is characterized by a unique bouquet and fresh and balanced flavour. This smooth and light wine greenish golden in colour is served chilled to a temperature of 8-10 °C. It pairs remarkably well with the most delightful dishes of continental Croatia as well as seafood dishes, especially quality food fish.

Rhine riesling, chardonnay, and sauvignon are quality, dry, white vines recognised by their variety.

Badel 1862 is planning to expand its vineyards in the municipality of Ðulovac.
